Abstract

The article analyzes the number of pupils in grades 1–4 of secondary schools in the city of Nukus and the Shumanay district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan for several academic years. On the basis of statistical data, the territorial characteristics of the number of primary school students, demographic changes and the importance of these data for the hygienic assessment of children's health were studied. The results of the analysis showed the difference in the number of children in urban and rural areas and the demographic burden on educational institutions. The results obtained serve as an important scientific basis for the hygienic assessment of children's health, the planning of preventive measures in educational institutions and the improvement of sanitary and hygienic control [2].
